Hi,
One of my relatives has been diagnosed with uveitus. She
also suffers from arthritis (i think it is rheumatoid).
Her doctor told her that the Uveitus is a result of
arthritis and that the uveitus can’t be cured as the
arthritis is uncurable. She was told that she may
lose her sight gradually and become blind. Both
her eyes were operated for cataract. She is asked
to take corticosteroid eye drops whenever her vision
starts to blur. These drops improve the sight immediately,
but this condition keeps recurring regularly. Are these
drops safe to use for long periods?
Has anyone experienced or is familiar with some one
who is diagnosed as uveitus patients? What is the
common treatment? Is this curable?
Thanks for any help that is offered.

This is a tough condition to treat, as it cannot be cured. However, the
symptoms usually can be controlled.
