For those interested, an article in Science News Vol 151 (April 12, 1997)
concerns research being done in Germany using solar cells as a substitute
for retinal receptors. They are developing an eye implant, based on a solar
cell, for people who have lost their sight because of a disease of the
retina. This research, if fruitful, will particularly benefit those with
Retinitis Pigmentosa.

I would like information about the results of laser treatment for Cental
Serous Retanopathy.
I’d also like information about the risks of this procedure and the
percentage of cases where it is effective.
How under what situations should it be performed vs just letting nature
take it’s course?
Thanks in advance,
David Lazar
