I met with Steve Friedman last week and got some Galvis data from him.
First of all, a thank you to him for giving me this data.
The attached file is from 213 pure myope LASIK operations – no
astigmatism. I entered the data accurately and exactly as it was
given to me, so whatever is there, is there, and whatever isn’t,
isn’t. I wish it were much more, but this apparently is all he has.
I don’t know what date range this covers, nor do I know exactly which
version of the Chiron laser this represents. This leaves much to be
desired, but at least it’s something. Please note that in most cases
where the age is the same in subsequent rows, that means that it’s the
same patient – left eye and right eye.
I wasn’t exactly sure how to post this to make it convenient to
everyone. I originally did it in Excel 97, but I converted it to a
generic spreadsheet form that seems to look OK at least in Excel 97
and Quattro Pro. If anyone can’t get this file to appear readable,
please E-Mail me, and I can send it in whatever form you need.
I also now have color bar graphs from 3150 Galvis LASIK operations,
but they really only depict residual defects after the 3rd month and
are broken down in large groups and percentages as opposed to
individual Rx’s. I’m not going to post these because they’ll take up
too much bandwidth in the newsgroup, but I intend to scan them and
make them available as .gif or .jpg files IF I can compress them
enough so they don’t take forever to upload and download. They’re not
ready yet, so please don’t E-Mail me until I post a message saying
they’re ready to send – thanks.
Gary
