Sorry, but i didnt know what else to call it, but yes, i had a corneal
abrasion about three years ago and it healed and everything felt fine
until a month or two ago. Im wondering if maybe it healed over the
eyelash like you said, but im not sure if thats the case since it only
started bothering me lately.
If that is what happened, how do they go about getting it out? Im
guessing they will have to put me to sleep and cut it all over again
to get it out?


No, they wouldn’t put you to sleep. It only needs topical anesthetic and it
won’t bother you a bit.
Many times it isn’t necessary to cut at all, just lift or dislodge with a probe
or forceps. No matter – working under the microscope it’s very easy and even
"cutting" causes very little trauma and heals in a few hours.
