Hi,

It started happening two weeks ago. When I lie down and strongly close
my eyes or sometimes after immediately lying down. I can feel some
vibrating
at the back of my eyeball (or even the ears) for 0.5 seconds to 1
second.
It doesn’t occur the whole time I am lying down. It doesn’t happen
when
standing up. Anyone recognize what it could be? Thanks

Hi Everyone

I’m your new groupie and just want to say hi.

My car’s engine decided to dislodge itself from its plate yesterday.
Something I didn’t know could happen or existed. So am having to rely
on the bus for a couple of days to do school runs. A pain, i tell, but
on the bright side am being forced to walk, and its about time i shed

I plan to switch to soft contacts for daily 8 hour use and after some
reseach, thought the silicone hydrogels are better because I have
dry eyes. But according to the above sites. Silicone Hydrogels are
dangerous even when used daily (not extended) because of the
new materials. The second article quotes:

"While it may be true that the incidence of microbial keratitis is no
different between silicone hydrogel continuous wear and hydrogel
daily wear, I don’t hear much from silicone hydrogel promoters
warning practitioners and patients about superficial ocular
inflammation
related to silicone hydrogel wear. Until the industry further
characterizes
silicone hydrogel technology — when any other "surprises" come
out in addition to PHMB incompatibility, GPC, SEALs and mucin".

What do you think? Who have similar experience with the stories
the first article about people being damaged by the silicone
hydrogels?

Trying to find some "wear-overs" or wrap-around sunglasses that block all
UV-A and UV-B light, to filter out the high frequency end of light emitted
by some ultra-bright LEDs I found.  They light up great, but hurt my wife’s
eyes.  Documented as having a CCT (think that’s right) of 9000K (know that
is right, believe it or not.)  Suspect her eye pain is caused by
high-frequency and invisible light to which her iris does not respond.  Am
hoping that said sunglasses, maybe doubled, will filter out said
high-frequency light.

Isn’t there a way for the group administrator to delete posts?  This
site used to be a great resource.  I don’t think many (any?) people
visiting this group are interested in buying a pet bed from China.

When I was young (I’m now in my 50′s) I had histoplasmosis. It badly
scarred both retinas. About ten years ago, I had a macular degeneration in
the center of my vision of my left eye. Now I have peripheral vision only
in my left eye.

During a recent physician visit for an unrelated matter, the doctor
mentioned that I should never take Prednisone for my hay fever because it
might reactivate the histoplasmosis.

I had never heard that before. In fact, this .gov site says that previous
infection provides some measure of immunity.

Any comments as to risk of Prednisone reactivating histoplasmosis?

I should mention that I don’t want or need Prednisone for my hay fever. I
control that just fine with over the counter medicine.

Now the reason for my questions. I’m having shoulder pain. It is
unpleasant to sleep on and also for my daily work and activities. I think
a shot of cortisone might be helpful.

Since Cortisone and Predsinone are closely related, would a Cortisone shot
for my shoulder cause significant risk of reactivating the histoplasmosis?
